Case Study

Turners Point

A development of high-end, new build houses in a sought-after coastal location. All design, construction, and community liaison was handled by Saltash in advance of private sale.

Key Facts

Project Name: Turners Point: New Build

Project Client: Saltash Development

Value of Contract: £1.6 million (build cost)

Period:  12 months

Saltash acquired a plot of land in the up-and-coming coastal town on Whitstable, with the aim of constructing a small development of exclusive houses. After procuring design and architectural services, our in-house teams began to work in partnership with carefully-chosen subcontractors and apprentices to create four new, five-bed homes.

Designed with luxury firmly in mind, each home boasted open-plan living and full-length balconies with sweeping views across the English Channel.

Due to the location of the site, delivery and storage challenges were complex. To overcome these, Saltash developed an intelligent mobilisation strategy, and worked with local residents to ensure that disruption was minimised as far as possible. We also regularly engaged with residents of adjacent properties to ensure that they understood the vision for the area, to offer free window-cleaning services, to issue a bi-monthly newsletter keeping them apprised of new developments and potential inconveniences.

All four properties were quickly sold following completion, with prices ranging from £875,000 to £1.35 million.
