What’s in these terms?
These terms tell you the rules for using our services provided through our platform MyLocalDesk which can be accessed at www.mylocaldesk.co.uk or through our mobile application (our Platform).
What is the Platform?
MyLocalDesk is a Platform operated by MyLocalDesk Limited (“We”) which allows users to browse and post desks available for hire. We find spare desks in local offices and match them with people in need of local working space. Please note we are not a party to any of the negotiations for the hire of any desk shown on our Platform and we take no responsibility for any of these negotiations. We merely provide an introduction between those users that have spare desks for hire and those users that are looking to hire a desk (“‘Services”)

By using our Platform you accept these terms
If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use our Platform.

We may amend these terms from time to time. Every time you wish to use our Platform, please check these terms to ensure you understand the terms that apply at that time.
We may make changes to our Platform
We may update and change our Platform from time to time to reflect changes to our products, our users’ needs and our business priorities. We will try to give you reasonable notice of any major changes.
We may suspend or withdraw our Platform
We do not guarantee that our Platform, or any content on it, will always be available or be uninterrupted. We may discontinue, suspend or withdraw or restrict the availability of all or any part of our Platform for business and operational reasons. We will try to give you reasonable notice of any suspension or withdrawal.
Our Platform is only for some users
Our Platform is only for user that are over the age of 18. If you are not 18, you will not be allowed to use our Platform.
Our Platform is directed to people residing in the United Kingdom. We do not represent that content available on or through our Platform is appropriate for use or available in other locations.
You acknowledge and warrant that you are the individual you say you are and all information you provide to us is complete and correct.
Registration and account safety
You may need to sign up in order to use our Platform. If so, you will sign up with your email address and full name and you will be prompted to make a user ID. Your user ID must not contain spaces, symbols, obscene or profane words, email addresses, website addresses or representations of email addresses or website addresses, another user’s or our name MyLocalDesk. You will be sent a verification email and once we are able to verify your email address, you will be bound by these terms until such time you delete your account with us.
You will also set up a password and you must treat such information as confidential. You must not disclose these to any third party. We are not liable for any security breach to your account.
If you know or suspect that anyone other than you know your user identification code or password, you must promptly notify us at email@example.com.
The service does not include the provision of any mobile device or other equipment to access the service.
Users will require internet connectivity and the necessary communication links in order to be able to use the Platform.
During the registration process we allow users to check and amend errors before submitting their details to us. The user should take the time to read and check their details are correct at each stage of the sign-up process.
Users should provide true, accurate and complete information and should not omit or misrepresent any information. Users should update their details, including but not limited to their email address, as soon as they can.
Our Platform is free of charge for those users who are looking to hire a desk. We will only charge the user hiring out a desk a fee for the introduction of a hirer on the successful confirmation of a booking. A booking will be confirmed once the two parties agree on a price and the start and end dates of the hire period. Once the booking is confirmed the user hiring out the desk will be charged a registration fee of £100 plus VAT and then 10% of the monthly desk rental, this will be collected by direct debit.
How you may use material on our Platform
You will be able to post advertisements to hire out desks and also browse advertisements for desks. We are the owner of all intellectual property rights in our Platform, and in all the material published on it.
Do not rely on information on this Platform
The content, including items posted by others, on our Platform is provided for general information only and we take no responsibility for completeness or accuracy. It is not intended to amount to advice on which you should rely. You must obtain professional or specialist advice before taking, or refraining from, any action on the basis of the content on our Platform.
We make no representations, warranties or guarantees, whether express or implied, that the content on our Platform is accurate, complete or up to date at anytime.
Uploading content to our Platform
Whenever you upload content to our Platform, you must comply with these terms.
You warrant that any such contribution does comply with these terms, and you will be liable to us and indemnify us for any breach of that warranty. This means you will be responsible for any loss or damage we suffer as a result of your breach of warranty.
Any content you upload to our Platform will be considered non-confidential and non-proprietary. You retain all of your ownership rights in your content, but you are required to grant us a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable and non-exclusive licence to use, reproduce, distribute, display, modify and edit the content in connection with the Platform.
We also have the right to disclose your identity to any third party who is claiming that any content posted or uploaded by you to our Platform constitutes a violation of their intellectual property rights, or of their right to privacy.
We have the right to remove any posting you make on our Platform if, in our opinion, your post does not comply with the content standards set out in these terms.
User-generated content is not approved by us
This Platform includes information and materials uploaded by other users of the Platform. This information and these materials have not been verified or approved by us. The views expressed by other users on our Platform do not represent our views or values.
How to complain about content uploaded by other users
If you wish to complain about content uploaded by other users, please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our responsibility for loss or damage suffered by you
Whether you are a consumer or a business user:
- We do not exclude or limit in any way our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or the negligence of our employees, agents or subcontractors and for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
If you are a business user:
- We exclude all implied conditions, warranties, representations or other terms that may apply to our Platform or any content on it.
- We will not be liable to you for any loss or damage, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, even if foreseeable, arising under or in connection with:
- use of, or inability to use, our Platform; or
- use of or reliance on any content displayed on our Platform.
- In particular, we will not be liable for:
- loss of profits, sales, business, or revenue;
- business interruption;
- loss of anticipated savings;
- loss of business opportunity, goodwill or reputation; or
- any indirect or consequential loss or damage.
If you are a consumer user:
- You agree not to use our Platform for any commercial or business purposes, and we have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity.
We may transfer this agreement to someone else
- We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation. We will always tell you in writing if this happens and we will ensure that the transfer will not affect your rights under the contract.
Which country’s laws apply to any disputes?Each of the paragraphs of these Terms operate separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining paragraphs will remain in full force and effect.
